WHY TO HOT-DIP GALVANIZE

The uses of zinc  are really manifold, because of its anti-corrosive function is used to protect iron (carpentry, metal meshes, metal sheets, roofing sheets).

Thanks to the galvanizing process, the objects take on the same properties of a manufactured object consisting purely of zinc.

Many are also the uses of zinc in the pure state to make containers, tanks, or strained for the construction of objects of common use extremely cheaper than those made from other metals.

In summary, zinc is a very valuable resource.

In surface protection of metals, hot-dip galvanizing is the best protection for ferrous materials, subject to deterioration through rust.

Here are seven good reasons therefore to hot-dip galvanize:

1. Low manufacturing cost

 The cost of hot-dip galvanizing is lower than that of many other coatings;

2. Low maintenance costs

Comparison galvanizing costs / life of the manufactured object are the lowest for the maintenance of long-term projects;

3. High protection of the treated materials

20-40 years in industrial or marine environments, 50-100 years in less aggressive atmospheres.

4. Triple protection for steels

Three types of protection for steel (barrier, sacrificial corrosion,  further layer of protection);

5. Quick applicability

A complete coating can be applied in a week and the process does not depend on specific weather conditions;

6. Practical inspectability

The checking process is immediate and visible to the naked eye verifying the homogeneity of the applied layer;

7. Full covering

The coating, being obtained by immersion, guarantees the galvanizing of visible and non-visible parts, with the same characteristics, this latter is a properties hardly reachable in the other production processes.
